What is the easiest way to add a forum to your website?

History. Actually, I was also asking the same question when I first ventured online but to date, with Tal.ki, I doubt if you’ll still be wasting tons of hours just to have your own forum running in your site.

As for my story, when I started online, they said you need a community to expedite your sites growth thus, I looked for really cool forums plugins/component because it’s one way to generate a community behind your brand. The principle really was “it’s one way of generating repeat visitors that can be translated into potential and (or) repeat customers should they purchase.” But they didn’t .. :)

Anyway, with that in mind, I used and tried various platforms and softwares from different tech providers  - I also did try various opensource applications, only to find out that there are also a lot of factors to consider when using forums for your blogs and (or) sites. From, loading time, simplicity, seo, features, add-ons, flexibility etc., just to name a few, and it’s not as simple as A, B, C because it’s more than that wherein all I was seeing that time was just the tip of the iceberg.

To date, because of that experience I’ve come to realize that user generated content is really one of the key ingredient to sky-rocket traffic, and the other thing is that you have to look at some technical stuffs as well that can be one hell of a problem or can be your downfall when time comes.

All of that experience was ten (10) years ago when I first ventured online….

Solution. To cut the drama short for us to move a decade earlier i.e. today. Adding forums has never been easier. If your using Joomla and other CMS you can check their repository for really cool forum plugins and (or) components. Trust me, there are tons of it in their repository and FREE for your use. But if your using different platforms it’s even a lot easier because you won’t be needing even the basic php or html language because all you need to do is just copy the code provided and embed it anywhere in your site…

As their site said, “It works just like embedding a YouTube video.” Excited to try the tool? Proceed here for your code and here for the demo.

Take note, users don’t have to create accounts – they can sign in via a variety of services like Facebook, Twitter. Google, Yahoo or OpenID.

Opinion. As for my take, the tool really answered almost all the questions I’ve asked on how a “forum” should perform and respond. But, I’m not fully satisfied at all. As to why? I doubt if the forum’s approach can help SEO or will they be working on it in the near future? Can we monetize it? It’s just some of the few questions I have in mind..

To end this post, I’m leaving everything to you for you to try and explore their technology. Do let know should it satisfy your needs as an alternative forum to use..
