How to double your Facebook fan page/club members? This has been the question by many social media entrepreneurs when my fan page/club hit 100,000 members in just a month.
Fan Page
To start with, you need to set up a fan page/club for your business first, and here’s how:
- Start by creating a experimental fan page/club to test the waters first. You may follow this link for you to start creating your experimental fan page/club.
- Why experiment? Because you can’t anymore change the name of that fan page/club if things go wrong. So, I would suggest create an experimental page on top of that real page/club.
Members/Fans
Now, invite all of your friends to join your fan page/club. If I’m not mistaken there’s a limit, but prior to inviting you need to build a wide network first, whilst, you need to add more and more friends.
In creating a wide network, I do this everyday:
- I add “recommended friends” by Facebook. You can actually see this one on the upper portion of your Facebook page. Why add them? People nowadays won’t believe products and services without someones recommendation. So, because it’s recommended by Facebook, for sure you guys are somehow connected – long term goal.
- Accept various groups and fan page/club invitation. Trust me, this really works in widening your network. Why? Facebook use to randomly place profile pictures in these networks so the bigger the network you’ve joined the bigger the chances you’ll be seen.
- How about joining social games? It’s useful also but it’s a bit annoying so I don’t give a damn.. hehehe
Promotion
With the tips stated above for sure your fan page/club will grow, but the question is how fast will it grow?
Next, let’s use Facebook’s “promote with a fan box” feature. This tool is very useful, in fact, your only way to expedite your fan page/clubs growth.
Now, the secret ingredient on overwhelming Facebook with your fan page/clubs growth are as follows:
- Search for blog/site owners who talks about your niche and ask them to place your “fan box” on his page.
- I know they won’t agree but you can offer them a blog review or an advertisement space in your blog. If they still won’t agree, pay them.
